Step Up Silicon Valley represents a collaborative model that serves as a conduit between residents who live in poverty and other community stakeholders, enabling them to work together to improve the quality of life for the community in need. We achieve this by working closely with representatives from various organizations and community members to coordinate breakthrough systems change that allow us to holistically create a thriving community in which none are too poor to give or too wealthy to be in need, and where everyone has access to affordable health care, sufficient nutritious food, decent affordable housing, meaningful educational and career opportunities, and reliable income that meets their basic financial needs.
Step Up Silicon Valley focuses on three strategic areas to achieve our goal of poverty reduction: (1) promoting awareness, (2) advocating for policy change, and (3) incubating innovative entrepreneurial programs.
